Even when school is out for the summer, children need nutritious meals to help them learn, grow, thrive, and play. Groveton ISD will provide meals to children 18 and younger at no cost with the summer meals program.
The program will begin on June 6 and go through June 24. It is a Monday through Friday service, and will begin at 11:30 a.m. each day and last until noon.
No form of identification is required for children who want a nutritious, hot meal through the program; they only need to simply show up and enjoy the food and friendship of their peers at the Groveton Elementary Cafeteria.
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture, and funded by the USDA.
